This camera take the basic benefits of the base model - exceptional image quality, flawless operation and outstanding mobility - and allow the user to activate the integrated HDF (Highlight Diffusion Filter) with a single movement, which provides soft, smooth images with diffused light areas in addition to the clear, sharply focussed images of the base models. This filter allows the user to give the captured images a completely different visual expression, depending on the subject or creative intention.

Easily switch to the built-in HDF to create soft, softened images

The GR III HDF feature the HDF filter (Highlight Diffusion Filter), which emphasises high highlights and produces soft, smooth images. ND filter is not installed and is replaced by HDF.

As the HDF can be switched on and off with a single press of a button, the user can effortlessly switch between two completely different visual expressions depending on the subject or creative intent - clear, sharply focused images, emblematic of the RICOH GR series, and softer, smoother images captured by the HDF. This creative versatility pushes the visual boundaries of snapshot photography.

  This model uses the sensor-shift type (IBIS) Shake Reduction mechanism. It delivers compensation on three axes. (Shutter speed conversion, CIPA standard)
