The Samyang MF 14mm F2.8 MK2 is a continuation of the popular Samyang MF 14mm F2.8 lens, designed to meet the highest demands of manual photography enthusiasts.

Focus Lock and De-Click
Thanks to Focus Lock, even long exposures and time lapses become child's play: thanks to a separate ring, you can now lock the selected focus. This means that you can handle the camera without losing or unintentionally changing the selected focus. This function is especially useful for astrophotography (astro landscape and widefield). Especially for long exposures, of which often several are made in succession for later stacking, a reliably set focus is required. The function is equally useful for time-lapse photography, where the camera is sometimes focused on the same subject for a day or two.
The De-Click function removes the click stops of the aperture steps. The aperture can then be adjusted steplessly, which allows precise, fine adjustment and is also very useful for filming. Simply turn the silver ring of the lens to "Click" or "Free", just as you need it.

Amazing diaphragm, beautiful design and weather protection
The aperture used in this 2nd generation lens features nine rounded blades instead of six, making it easier to create round highlights in the bokeh. Starbursts, which are created when the aperture is only slightly open and a light source is in focus, now have 18 instead of 12 rays.
The exterior of the lens has also been revised. The operating elements are non-slip and dirt-resistant due to their shape. Now this lens also has a weather sealing around the bayonet, which protects the interior from moisture and raindrops. This does not make it waterproof, but it can be used safely even in rain or snowdrifts.

Unique perspectives
With an impressive picture angle of 115.7° at full frame and 93.9° at APS-C, this lens makes landscape photography as natural as indoor photography. Thanks to the close-up limit of 28 cm, almost no room is too small for good photos. With the compact 14mm Samyang wide-angle lens, you can take unique pictures. The Samyang lens is suitable for the entire spectrum of wide-angle photography, but especially for astro- and landscape photography as well as indoor photography. The distinct impression of depth in wide-angle photography offers room for creative photography. Thanks to the very good light intensity of F2.8, great pictures are possible even in unfavourable lighting conditions.

High resolution for excellent optical quality
The outstanding imaging performance is due to the sophisticated optical system. This system consists of 10 groups with 14 lenses and thus sets new standards. The special lenses deserve special mention: 1 aspherical lens, 1 aspherical hybrid lens, 1 ED lens and 3 HR lenses. With these high-precision aspherical and high refractive lenses, various imaging errors are minimized and a crystal clear, crisp image is produced. Especially the excellent distortion correction must be mentioned, as well as the excellent resolution from center to edge. The fixed lens hood also prevents the disturbing, lateral incidence of light and the associated lens reflections.
