Hint:

The spread of wireless identification (RFID) has made data theft many times easier. Instead of physically coming into possession of the card in order to copy it illegally or use it directly, RFID can read the information contactlessly from a distance of up to several meters using relatively simple means.
In contrast to magnetic strips or chip cards, the RFID radio chip is not visibly integrated into the ID card and is read out contactlessly via radio waves. The protective cover dampens these radio waves to a very high degree using a special Cryptalloy film. In addition, the protective cover prevents the RFID chip in the ePassport, ePerso etc. from building up a magnetic field at all.
