Schleich Wild Life Hammerhead Shark

Hammerhead sharks feed on sardines, herring and mackerel. In former times it was believed that the animals would kill their prey with their heads. Today we know that the unusual shape of the head serves to improve perception. Like the hammerhead shark of Schleich® Wild Life, the eyes sit on the left and right outside of the head and give the predator a 360-degree view. With their muzzle they perceive the electromagnetic signals of their prey.
